Dr. Pascal Cassan

Pascal Cassan, M.D., is an emergency physician for the Urgences Médicales de Paris. Dr. Cassan studied medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at Pitié Salpétrière in Paris, France, and received his Emergency certificate at the Faculty de Medicine Necker Enfants Malades in Paris. He serves as Coordinator of the European Reference Centre for First Aid Education, National Medical Advisor for the French Red Cross, and Medical dispatcher for SAMU de Paris. He also serves as member of the Executive Committee of the European Resuscitation Council, member of the Board of the French Resuscitation Council and member of the International First Aid Advisory Group (AHA – American Red Cross) for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation 2010 process. Dr. Cassan has published literature on emergency medicine and first aid.

The CPR Improvement Working Group does not provide an honorarium or other compensation to the members of its expert council, however, all reasonable expenses incurred by council members related to the Working Group, including travel and communication costs, are reimbursed by the Working Group.
